The bilingual book club

The BBC is a bilingual book club that aims to thoroughly explore English authors and their works, with a particular emphasis on reading aloud. After delving into Shakespeare and Tennessee Williams, this year we will embark on a creative journey with Virginia Woolf. We will immerse ourselves in her life, letters, and seminal works such as A Room of One’s Own, To the Lighthouse, and a theatrical adaptation of Mrs. Dalloway.

We shall also undertake a slight detour by visiting Michael Cunningham’s literary work, The Hours. If you so desire, you can also participate in the Art Club of Christine Woodward, an American artist who will be traveling alongside us on the Woolf ship of discovery.
